The Week of Hauls... #1 Boots.com

Hey lovelies!
Me and my credit card are no longer friends... I may have broken my no buy this week.... epicly. But on the plus side to this it means i have three(ish) hauls to share with you guys. The first that arrived was my Boots.com goodies! I had taken advantage of their 3 for 2 offers and currently if you spend £70 you can use the code MUM2013 to get a further £10 off.... i just couldn’t resist. So i stocked up on some essentials and got a few naughty bits.

Dr Jart + - Water Fuse BB - £16
I'd been eyeing this for a while but trying to use up some foundations (i have far, far too many) before i took the plunge. Couldn't refuse with the 3 for 2. Full review coming soon.

Soap and Glory - Sugar Crush Body Buttercream - £10.50
've fallen in love with the scent of the Sugar Crush range, after getting the scrub in the Boots Star Gift at Christmas i new i had to have the entire range. To me, it smells a bit like lime, cola cubes and brown sugar. Not the most refined scent, but i absolutely adore it.

Soap and Glory - Sugar Crush Body Wash - £6.50
Clean On Me is my holy grail shower gel, i won't use anything else... Until i discovered they do it in the Sugar Crush scent. So *fingers crossed* it'll work just the same but just smell more delicious.

Soap and Glory - Make Yourself Youthful Serum - £16
You might be seeing a trend here... I quite like Soap and Glory. This is repurchase, at first i wasn't sure i was going to pick up another one but after not using it for a month or so i really missed it. So i picked up another two to stock up, i haven't done a full review on this so if you'd like to see one, let me know in the comments below.

Collection - Lasting Colour Lipsticks - Vintage Rose & Sweet Tart - £2.99 Each
Honestly, i only picked them up to get my order above the mark to get the £10 discount and as i plus you got a free Extreme Felt Eyeliner. From the swatches, the shades aren't like anything i own (and definitely not like the swatches on the Boots website). But first impressions are good!

Oilatum - Natural Repair Face Cream - £7.65
Holy grail moisturiser. My local Boots has stopped stocking it in store... WHY? OH WHY? So i took the opportunity to grab a few tubes. This moisturiser is hands down better than anything I've tried for dry skin, both "drugstore" and high end. I'd even see it out hydrates Embryolisse by a mile.. If you're skins on the drier side, pick this up, NOW, you won't regret it.

So thats it for part 1 of my naughty week of hauls...

What have you been buying lately? Let me know in the comments!

My Travel Makeup Bag!

Heya lovelies!
Hopefully by the time this post is up i shall be in sunny Florida so thought it was apt to show you what i pack in my travel makeup bag! The bag itself if i remember rightly is Benefit's Gabbi Bag that i picked up many years ago and to be perfectly honest i kinda regret buying it, i think it was over £20 and has been used all of once... bad, i know! So i really wanted to try and get some use out of it, its sturdier than the rest of my makeup bags and has a little more padding which makes it great for trying to get bits and bobs home in one piece.
I just wish i owned a few more travel sized brushes to pop in it!
For me this is packing light!

For normal trips around the UK my makeup bag is considerably bigger and I'd probably cart around a brush roll on top of all that. But bearing in mind the Florida heat and my love of shopping i thought packing the bare minimum was probably the best idea, if i desperately need something its just yet another excuse to go shopping! hehe!
I spent a good while going through my collection working out what would be the best products to take, working out what could get damaged in travel or melt in the heat that i wouldn't die over if i lost, so i came up with this little lot.
See? It really is the bare minimum!
I'm quite pleased i managed to get this down to four brushes. My Elf Kabuki for blush, my Royal and Langnickel kabuki for powder, Crown Small Chisel Blush for contour and a travel size Sigma E25. I don't think I've ever gone with such a small range of brushes, but since you'll see my lack of eyeshadow later on that pretty much explains it. But these are just the basic four, so that if needs be, i can whack on a whole face of makeup pretty easily.

Okay, so i am a dinlo and have missed one of the key items out of this photo... My Sleek Contour Kit! There was no way i was lugging Lightscapade and Laguna round with me because there would be tears if i smashed or lost either of those, but Sleek's little kit is the perfect replacement!

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser and Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream are the only two base products I'm taking and honestly it was a real struggle for me not to pack more. I'm a foundation whore and wear multiple ones each week, but the Laura Mercier one is perfect for day wear as it has light coverage and if i need a little more coverage I'll whack out the Missha Perfect! The Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Conceal is  MUST, it hides my dark circles a treat and Maybelline Stay Matte powder thrown in to set it all. Deciding on blush was another hard one but in the end it came down to one powder, one cream! Nars Orgasm and Stila Petunia.
Again minimal products for lips and eyes, just enough to tame my brows, do a winged eyeliner and orangey-coral lip! All photographed it looks a hell of a lot more than it really is, i mean... no shadow?!

Hopefully I'll have a nice haul to share soon!

What are your travel essentials?

Thanks for reading!

Collection 2000 Cream Puff Lip Cream

Hiya Lovelies!
The weathers looking a little bit nicer than it has been over the past few weeks (YAY) and has got me in a rather summery mood! As you know I've been a little bit tight with my spending lately but i did manage to pick up a few budget products in town over the past few weeks, ooops! Although i feel a little splurge is in order on next payday as i have been pretty damn good with my savings! Not that I'm trying to convince myself or anything...

Collection 2000's Cream Puffs have been raved about online and i thought it was about time i picked one up, at £2.99 it wasn't breaking the bank so if it didn't work for me it was no big loss. After seeing some rave reviews about them i was a little bit disappointed with the colour selection, in both stores i visited there were only 4, which lets be honest could be a lot better. There were only two colours that really took my fancy as the other two were beigey nudes and i am under no impression that i could pull those off! So i opted for the peachier colour, shade 3 Fairy Cake.

Now the sunlight has been a little deceptive with this swatch as it is leaning a little more orange than it actually is, the lip swatch is a more accurate colour. Honestly, its a pretty colour but i don't love it. Its easy to apply and has pretty good lasting power so for me makes an easy, go to day shade. My only gripe with it is if you don't exfoliate your lips it really does sink in and cling to dryer areas after an hour or so. And i know this from experience, silly ol' me went out one day and probably had this on for a good few hours before i realised it had well and truly clung around the dry patches where my lips meet... ew! Needless to say I've remembered to exfoliate more often!

I really do love the texture of these, like the name implies they are a cream formula and glide onto the lip. They dry down to a matte finish but will move about quite easily so paranoid me has a mirror to hand for speedy lip checks.
Overall i think this is a pretty decent product i just wish Collection 2000 would give us some more shades, pleaaasseee!? Its cheap at £2.99, wears well (if you aren't lazy like me and exfoliate regularly) and is opaque with one swipe. As far as I'm aware there is nothing like this on the high street currently but they have been compared to the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams, which have a slightly better colour range but are less accessible here in the UK.

Have you tried Lip Creams? What are your favourites?

FOTD: Go Big Or Go Home!

Hiya Lovelies!

Just thought I'd share a quick FOTD with you all. I went out in town with some friends last night as its been a while and I'm eventually free from uni until October, YAY! So i vainly quickly took a few snaps just before i went out the door because i was particularly pleased with how my hair turned out! I love big hair but big hair doesn't love me, mine drops within half a hour and no volumising product so far (and I've tried tons) has worked. So to have some good hair, even for half an hour was good for me!

Eyes:
Inglot Neutrals. (Sorry I'm being lazy!)
Mac Dazzlelight
Mac Omega (Brows)

Elf Liquid Liner
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Red Cherry Lashes #110

Lips:
Mac Watch Me Simmer Lipstick (really blotted down)
Mac Wonderstruck Lustre Glass

Face:

Elf Primer
Elf HD Powder
Estee Lauder Double Foundation
Collection 2000 Last Perfection Concealer
Nars Laguna Bronzer
Mac Cream Colour Base in Pearl
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks in Bronze and Rose.

Oh and as per usual i decide to do a FOTD a few days before I'm due to get my eyebrows done, so they are horrendous! A good night was had by everyone, although it was pretty hectic. And i am STILL nursing my killer hangover! Oh well!

Thanks for reading guys!
