The Week of Hauls... #1 Boots.com

Hey lovelies!
Me and my credit card are no longer friends... I may have broken my no buy this week.... epicly. But on the plus side to this it means i have three(ish) hauls to share with you guys. The first that arrived was my Boots.com goodies! I had taken advantage of their 3 for 2 offers and currently if you spend £70 you can use the code MUM2013 to get a further £10 off.... i just couldn’t resist. So i stocked up on some essentials and got a few naughty bits.

Dr Jart + - Water Fuse BB - £16
I'd been eyeing this for a while but trying to use up some foundations (i have far, far too many) before i took the plunge. Couldn't refuse with the 3 for 2. Full review coming soon.

Soap and Glory - Sugar Crush Body Buttercream - £10.50
've fallen in love with the scent of the Sugar Crush range, after getting the scrub in the Boots Star Gift at Christmas i new i had to have the entire range. To me, it smells a bit like lime, cola cubes and brown sugar. Not the most refined scent, but i absolutely adore it.

Soap and Glory - Sugar Crush Body Wash - £6.50
Clean On Me is my holy grail shower gel, i won't use anything else... Until i discovered they do it in the Sugar Crush scent. So *fingers crossed* it'll work just the same but just smell more delicious.

Soap and Glory - Make Yourself Youthful Serum - £16
You might be seeing a trend here... I quite like Soap and Glory. This is repurchase, at first i wasn't sure i was going to pick up another one but after not using it for a month or so i really missed it. So i picked up another two to stock up, i haven't done a full review on this so if you'd like to see one, let me know in the comments below.

Collection - Lasting Colour Lipsticks - Vintage Rose & Sweet Tart - £2.99 Each
Honestly, i only picked them up to get my order above the mark to get the £10 discount and as i plus you got a free Extreme Felt Eyeliner. From the swatches, the shades aren't like anything i own (and definitely not like the swatches on the Boots website). But first impressions are good!

Oilatum - Natural Repair Face Cream - £7.65
Holy grail moisturiser. My local Boots has stopped stocking it in store... WHY? OH WHY? So i took the opportunity to grab a few tubes. This moisturiser is hands down better than anything I've tried for dry skin, both "drugstore" and high end. I'd even see it out hydrates Embryolisse by a mile.. If you're skins on the drier side, pick this up, NOW, you won't regret it.

So thats it for part 1 of my naughty week of hauls...

What have you been buying lately? Let me know in the comments!

Boots Soap & Glory Haul

I love Soap and Glory.

Boots had some extra points offers a little while ago and i just couldn't resist picking up a few Soap and Glory bits! These were also three for two, so even more of a bargain. If i had some sense, i would have waited for the large sets to be a Boots Star Gift, but i have no patience! But, if you love Soap and Glory, keep your eye out for the large £60 gift sets as the last week before Christmas they generally go down to around £25, less than half price!

Hand Food
Everyone loves a good hand cream. I'm probably on my fourth or fifth tube of this little gem. It has the lovely traditional Soap and Glory scent and keeps my hands soft and hydrated. One of my holy grail products!

Wish Upon a Jar
A bit of an impulse buy… I'd heard Miss Budget Beauty rave about it and as there was three for two i thought, why not? I'm not keen on the scent of this one; it’s a chocolately orange scent... But then again I am probably one of the few people in the world that hate chocolate orange! I've seen no big changes so far, but I’ll do a full review at the end of the 28 days.

Original Pink Eau De Parfum
I love the Soap and Glory scent. It smells a lot like Miss Dior Cherie and for £16.50 is a LOT cheaper. It doesn't last as long on the skin, but for around a quarter of the price, who cares?

Make Yourself Youthful Serum
Again with the chocolate orange scent, ugh. Another impulse buy, I'd been considering starting to add a serum into my skincare routine for a while now and thought this was a relatively inexpensive way to start. To me, it feels more like a light cream than a traditional serum. Again, I'll review this fully after I've given it a good old bash!

Clean On Me Shower Gel
The only shower gel I've purchased in nearly two years. At around £5, yes it’s not the cheapest one, but it’s a whopping 500ml so lasts me a good two to three months, making it excellent value for money. It like most of the other products has the traditional Soap and Glory scent i love. A little goes such a long way with this too, i love it!

I think that will be it for Soap and Glory splurges for a while. But i fully intend to take advantage of the Boots Star Gift offer next month!
What’s your favourite Soap and Glory product?

Blackheads begone!

I thought I'd do a little bit of a different post here as you may be a little tired of eyeshadow swatches, sorry I'm an addict!

Blackheads have been an annoying problem for me for quite some time and although I've never managed to completely rid my face of them I've had a good try! There are a ton of products on the market claiming to remove blackheads and refine pores but I've not found many that work. Here are a couple of products that i find work for me, I'm not claiming they are gunna miraculously clear up the problem, but they definitely help!

These are a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I LOVE squeezing spots... odd i know but it runs in the family. Me, my Mother and Sister will all fight at the sight of a ripe blackhead. You might think that's a bit rank but we can't help it. There is something extremely satisfy about getting a decent blackhead or spot out and I'm not ashamed to say it! Even other peoples if they are willing! But there are some limits, i obviously wouldn't ask a random person to squeeze their face but if good friends have them i will (or I'll definitely be thinking about it!).

Getting to the point. I've tried a ton of pore strips in the past and not really had much luck with them and I've found these bad boys work the best! And having a good old look at what they get out for me makes them even more amazing. At £1.80 for six they are extremely affordable and work like a dream.

Soap and Glory - The Fab Pore Facial Peel

"Soap & Glory The Fab Pore™ 15 Minute Facial Peel 50ml has an intensive pore refining action with our exclusive PORESHRINK-R COMPLEX. Ideal for greasy, spot prone or problem skin, or for a strategic attack on a misbehaving T-Zone."

I generally use this after a strip and find it really helps to minimise pore size. It's obviously not going to completely close them but it does a good job trying.

It's priced at £7.15 for 50ml as has lasted me quite a long time already. Keep an eye out in Boots stores or online for them as they have 3 for 2 offers frequently

Do you have any products you swear by when it comes to blackheads? Let me know!
