Chinovi Cosmetics - Haul & Review!

If you've seen my latest haul post you would of noticed the goodies i picked up from Chinovi Cosmetics, well I've finally given them a fair trial and thought it was about time i reviewed the beauties. I used a few shades in my last FOTD post which you can see here.

Chinovi Cosmetics as a relatively new indie cosmetics company, and so far I'm thoroughly impressed! The website is really user friendly and easy to navigate and has soooo many shade choices to choose from, it took me a good while to narrow it down to just eight! I opted for the clam shell sample size which are priced at an extremely reasonable $1.25 and hold a very generous amount of product. The only downside is that with me being clumsy its VERY easy to spill, but a minor downside in my opinion.

My package arrived in a little over a week, which is pretty damn good for shipping from the USA and had some of neatest packaging i have ever seen! Everything was neatly packaged in baggies, with an extra baggie sample (which i forgot to photopgraph, doh!) and my order came with a small selection of American sweeties, which was a lovely (yummy) touch! Postage and packaging is also really reasonable at around $5 to the UK.

Now, onto the shadows!

 For a little over a dollar that is a LOT of product. I can see myself getting a good 10 uses at least out of these before i repurchase full sizes of a few. Yep, I'm already sold on full sizes of Nude Pearl + and Smoke Out. Those two make the easiest day time smokey eye combo, i am slightly obsessed with them! I seriously need more taupey browns in my collection...

Cool Runnings - Dream - Tree - Fun Day

 

I'm such a sucker for greens and i've been lusting over a shimmery lime green and yellow for quite some time now, so Cool Runnings and Fun Day have sated my obsession for now. I won't try and describe colours too much, because frankly, i suck at it, but as usual the pictures don't do these justice. They are gorgeous!

They are all so pigmented, soft and blend beautifully, i am REALLY enjoying using them. My go to colours this week have been exactly the same as my last FOTD (lazy, i know) I've been loving it that much! Think i may have to place another cheeky order to try out a few more neutrals!

Inglot Freedom System - Rainbow Neutrals

Another long overdue post for you today. If you remember back a couple of months ago i was lucky enough to win one of Girlie Review's giveaways that included not one, but TWO five pan Inglot Palettes.

As some of you may know i LOVE Inglot shadows, i picked up quite a few at Imats this year and have been lusting after more ever since. So needless to say i was over the moon when i won these! The rainbow shadows were at the top of my lust list, and for an eyeshadow hoarder, i really don't have that many mattes! So this palette was the perfect addition to my little collection. I've been absolutely loving the lighter neutrals with a bit of winged liner for a more "Pin Up" look, I've been wearing some of the more medium browns lightly through my brows and needless to say the matte blacks gotten quite a lot of love! I'm really wondering why I've never really owned mattes before, they are SO versatile! Love!

Price wise these aren't too expensive in the UK at £6 each, but once you've bought a few and a palette it soon mounts up. But in comparison to other brands of around the same quality its phenomenal! The Inglot palettes start from 1 all the way up to 20 or 40, so theres a size to fit any budget. If you live near London, i really recommend checking out their Westfields store, then you can get a feel for the products, have a little swatch and not pay annoying postage, which is a whopping £6!

Again, if you can get your hands on Inglot shadows, DO IT, they are well worth the money. They've just released some new shades... So more to add to my lust list! I can see a new palette (or two) being ordered before too long, hehe!

Wet 'N' Wild - Blue Had Me At Hello

I thought I'd stay on the say theme of my last post and show you some more Wet 'N' Wild goodies! I have a friend who recently went on an amazing holiday to Florida (jealouussssy) and was lovely enough to pick me up some Wet 'N' Wild bits and bobs while she was out there! The first thing I'll be showing you is this bad boy, the Blue Had Me At Hello palette!

I think Wet 'N' Wild have a few variations of these palettes out at any given time and were one of the things I'd been lusting over on eBay, but didn't really want to pay over the odds for a "Drugstore" product. So needless to say i was thrilled when i opened this! The palette boasts eight shades of shadow and has a lovely range of blues, a couple of blacks and a very pretty highlight shade.

Personally i think the pigmentation is a bit half n half on these. Some of these are absolutely gorgeous and pigmentation is superb, more or less the 4 or 5 in the middle. But the few on the ends, mainly the blacks were a little sheer, powdery and generally hard to work with. But the ones that are good, are gooooood! The blacks are still useable to define but just take a bit more work, and can definitely not be used on their own.

Priced at $4 (i think) these are a bit of a steal, even with the couple of dud shades. I can't vouch for the other 8 pan palettes in this range, but I'm looking forward to picking them up when i travel over the the USA later in the year. Overall i think its a pretty decent palette, and if you can get your hands on it, for that price is definitely worth a go!
