Sleek Blush By 3 - CALIFORN.I.A Review

Ello Lovelies!

I've been on a real Sleek blush kick over the last month or so and the Pink Lemonade Trio has yet to leave my daily makeup stash since my initial review, its a goodun! So i thought it was about time i reviewed the other Blush By 3 release, CALIFORN.I.A!

Unlike Pink Lemonade which featured two powder and one cream blush, this beautiful coral option includes all cream formula blushes, perfect for the upcoming (i hope) warmer weather here in the UK. Now i have to admit, I'm a little on the lazy side when it comes to cream products but after pulling myself out of that bad habit I've been really enjoying these little beauties.

Newport Peach, The Surf, OC.

First and foremost, one of my favourite things about this palette is that it really does have a coral tone to suit everyone! Newport Peach is a gorgeous more pink toned coral, this is my favourite of the bunch and I've been really enjoying layering it under Sleek's Rose Gold blush (y'know that pretty lovely Nars dupe!) but is equally as stunning worn on its own. The Surf is a lighter, more peach toned coral that I've been reaching on my "no makeup" days just to add that hint of colour to the cheeks. And last but definitely not least... OC, a beautiful red toned coral. On my fair skin tone it adds that slightly sun burned effect to the cheeks and is one I'll be getting a lot more use out of when the weather warms up.

Newport Peach, The Surf, OC.

On their own these wear for a good six hours without fading on my dry skin and even longer when layered with a powder blush. Pink Lemonade has taken a little back seat to these cream beauties over the last few weeks and i think I may be becoming cream convert! I'll be hooking my other cream products back out of my collection ASAP! I adore Sleek's packaging and may even consider taking this little palette on my upcoming Florida trip as they are just so handy to throw in my travel bag, not to mention the great sized mirror inside!

Overall if you've glanced over these in Superdrug i really recommend giving these a swatch, they might just be the perfect summer addition to your makeup bag! They have great pigmentation, blend beautifully and more importantly (to me at least) are budget friendly!

Sleek Blush By 3 Palettes are priced at £9.99 and can be found on the Sleek Website here.

Elf HD Blush - Review

Ello Lovelies!

Elf are brilliant for their sales and up until recently I've been very good at resisting them... Well that changed! I took full advantage of one of their recent 50% off sales and got a whopping £60 worth of products (that i don't really need) for a mere £30, considering how cheap Elf is already that means a LOT of stuff! If you've seen my recent Lust List post you would have spotted this little beauty on it, the only thing i actually "needed" from Elf. I previously purchased another, brighter shade and was desperate to get my hands a more wearable option, so here it is in the form of Headliner!

Elf HD Blushes are the copycat version of the MUFE HD ones, but not owning any of them i can't really compare the two, sorry! But after trying these i have no real urge to try the much more expensive option. Liquid blushes with a pump like these get rid of all the ickyness of having to dip your fingers into a pot to apply, just pump out what you like and blend away! I will say they do pump out far too much product, so a lot is wasted but at £3.75 for 10ml I'm really not complaining.

Headliner is one of the more wearable shades of the 5 available and I'm a little bit smitten with it. Its a gorgeous pink that in my opinion leans ever so slightly purple, making it great for fair - mediumish skin tones. These have a velvety smooth texture which is a little drier than all the cream blushes I've tried in the past, but i feel this adds to the wear time of it. They are extremely pigmented so a little bit goes a long, long way! Due to the drier formula they take a little bit more effort to blend than your average cream blush but it's not something that bothers me.
Overall I'm pretty darn pleased with this purchase from Elf. I'd go as far to say that in my opinion these might be the best cream/liquid "drugstore" blushes available on the market. Yep, a bold statement there from me but i really am impressed!

Have you tried Elf's HD blushes?
Let me know what you think!

NYX Cream Blushes

Ello again!

Nyx's Cream Blushes are often a hot topic in the blogging / youtube community and I'd been meaning to get my paws on a few for some time. But hating paying £4.50 shipping for things and not being able to see the products up close and personal REALLY put me off. So these were at the top of my list of things to check out at IMATS (I can't believe it was a month ago!).

Ideally my colour selection could of been a little better, but i do tend to loose all sensibility and just grab pretty colours (oops)! A more natural toned one wouldn't have gone amiss, but oh well! Just something else to go on my ever expanding wish list.

The two i picked up were Pinky (Left) and Red Cheeks (Right). These look pretty damn scary in both the pan and swatched as they are SO pigmented. But with a light hand (i use a small stippling brush) its easy to apply a flush of colour without looking like Coco the Clown. A little bit really does go a long way and they blend and melt into the skin beautifully.

There's not really a good offering of cream blushes on budget price end so I'm pretty pleased with these. And at just £5.50 each, makes them doubly appealing. The only let down is that you can only buy online through the NYX UK website, Ebay or Cherry Culture and shipping from any of these sites can be pricey.

These are currently available in 13 different shades on the NYX UK Website. But do have a look on places like Ebay because of the UK / USA pricing difference you can sometimes bag yourself a bargain.

Hopefully we'll see some quality cream blushes on the high street in the near future! Whats your favourite cream blush?
