Meow Cosmetics: Shades Of Meow Volume 3* - Review

Ello Lovelies!

A little while ago Meow Cosmetics posted on Facebook that they were looking for a few bloggers to review some of the shades from their latest collection "Shades of Meow Volume 3"*, this collection consists of 50 shades and 10 are released in each new volume with the 10 best selling shades ultimately becoming becoming a permanent collection. These 10 shades all have erotic names which i really love and are a little naughty, rather than the crude product names I've seen a lot from other brands recently.
As always although i was sent these for review purposes my opinions are 100% honest and my own.

All the shades are pretty bright and not something i may have picked for myself so it really was great to get out of my comfort zone for a bit while testing these out. Sample sizes are priced at a reasonable $1 a baggie giving you a chance to try shades out before committing to a full size, and full sizes at $8.25. They also have a free worldwide shipping with orders over $40 offer currently running.

Discipline was the shade that really caught my eye as soon as i opened them, it is an absolutely gorgeous shimmery orange, and even though I've been saying it a lot... perfect for summer. I've been shopping my stash quite a bit lately and its a shade i actually don't have anything like (madness, i know!). Texture wise i found a few of these a little drier than others with the more shimmery ones being a lot easier to work with.  Swinger i had the most trouble with blending which was a shame since it is such a beautiful shade. I'm really looking forward to doing a FOTD using Discipline and Strawberries, its about time i got out of my neutral safety blanket i think!

Disciple, Swinger, Threesome, Slave, Strawberries.

Master, Whipped Cream, BDSM, Lascivious, Hot Wax.
I've found that like most loose eyeshadows that many are best applied wet or over a sticky base like Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy, this just helps the colours and sparkle to really pop and last throughout the day. All the above are swatched dry as i know many people prefer to apply this way.

The real star of the show in this collection for me is BDSM. Applied wet (pictured below), this shade is absolutely stunning. Now this is where i fail miserably at a description but my photos really do not do it justice, it is an absolutely gorgeous dirty purple with extremely fine pinky silver glitter. If i had to pick just one from the collection, this would be it! I think it would work as a great alternative than a traditional smokey eye, so you lot might see a FOTD with this beauty soon!
Overall i think although a few shades weren't really my cup of tea, BDSM and Discipline are definitely worth checking out. And of course the others if you're into brights!

You can check out this collection here on the Meow Website.

Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation - Review

Heya lovelies!

Unless you've been living under a rock the past few months you would have definitely seen one of the latest offerings from YSL, their new Touche Eclat foundation. To be honest I'd been lusting after if since its release as its been getting some seriously good press. So when i noticed a free seven day sample offer i jumped at chance to give this foundation a test drive. And as you tell by the fact I've purchased the full size, i love it!

I went for the lightest pink toned shade BR10 but in hindsight i should have probably gone for the 20 as its marginally too pale for me. But they do have an impressive shade range in cool, warm and neutral tones so there should be a match for everyone! The first thing i love about this foundation is the texture, its light but has a surprising amount of coverage. Its also illuminating without looking greasy or shiny, more of a "lit within" glow rather than looking sweaty, which gets a huge thumbs up from me. I apply it with my fingers as i find this was the best method for me and would describe it as a medium, satin-ish finish. It doesn't need setting but i found it lasts a little better on the skin with a dusting. I generally get a good 6 - 8 hours wear but i have dry skin, so it may perform differently on more oily skin types.

At £28 it isn't cheap but its actually not as much as i would of expected out of YSL. I managed to pick mine up on Feel Unique with 15% off and their usual free delivery which worked out about the same as duty free would of been, bargain! I've included a little swatch below but it really doesn't do the foundation any justice, more for just a colour guide, it looks so natural and radiant on the skin.

Overall i really couldn't recommend this foundation enough! If you're looking for a light, radiant foundation with decent coverage definitely go pick up a sample and try it out for yourself. Its possibly my favourite discovery of the year so far, and thats saying something!

You can check it out on the Feel Unique website here.

Have you tried it? Do you love it as much as me?!
Let me know.

Darling Girl Cosmetics Haul

Heya lovelies! After a long, long time of lusting i eventually placed a Darling Girl Cosmetics order! I'd been itching to place an order for a Skin Quencher or two for a while now, so when their Satin Stains were released i just couldn't resist any longer. Its quite a modest haul, mainly because i REALLY didn't want to get hit by customs and after reading elsewhere about others being caught there i thought it was better to be safe than sorry. I'm quite happy to pay custom fee's i just really hate the ridiculous £8 Post Office charges on top of that... *rant over* On to the haul!

So i knew i wanted a Skin Quencher and some Satin Stains, i just had to work out which ones, as there are SO many enticing smells to choose from. I opted for Black Raspberry and Vanilla, it smells absolutely divine! Skin Quenchers are a dry oil spray and as my skin has been on the dry side lately i thought this would be the perfect pick me up. It sinks in to the skin relatively quickly and smells good enough to eat! I'd like to pick up a few more scents including the Lime and Ginger one, yum!
I absolutely love Fyrinnae's Visual Kei Lip Luster, the only problem is that there aren't that many wearable (for me at least) colours. So when i saw the announcement on the Darling Girl Facebook page about these i stalked the website until they were released. I wasn't quick enough to grab the one i wanted most, but oh well, I'll just have to place another order... I'm planning to do a full review on these beauties. That's if my Mum doesn't steal Babygirl before i get around to it, shes had her hawk eye on it all week!

The only negative so far is the size, which in all fairness is clearly stated on the website. They are 3.5ml each which is on the small side, but as i don't tend to finish lip products its not a huge downside, and at $5 a pop is definitely worth the money.
Lastly i ordered their About Face Velvet Gel Primer. I now flat out refuse to pay for Smashbox primer so needed something with a bit of slip for my foundation. It feels great on the skin and so far I'm enjoying using this! At $5.50 it is considerably cheaper than a lot of the primers I've come across, but again it is a smaller product at being around 15ml. I also received a couple of sample baggies and a sample jar with my order, which was a lovely touch.

The website clearly states how long orders will take to ship and my order was just within this time which was around two weeks, then a further week to arrive through the mail (with quite a lot of postman stalking, its okay, he's used to it now). Three weeks in total is quite a long time for someone with no patience, but so worth it in the end! Good things come to those who wait and all that jazz. So far I'm really impressed with Darling Girl Cosmetics and cannot wait to place another order, i just find it difficult to narrow down what i want!

Have you tried any of Darling Girl's products? Feel free to share your suggestions!
